A view of the Venetian harbour at Chania in the North West of Crete with the famous lighthouse and the naval museum. During the summer, usually, the waters are peaceful and visitors enjoy the walk around the harbour and through the Old Town. Tavernas provide food and drink for people to sit and watch the world go by. The Casa Leone hotel can also be seen in this painting. On the opposite side of the harbour is the Mosque: another well known landmark of the harbour

I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio. I work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and pen and ink and include topics such as seascapes, landscapes, portraits, surrealism, pets, wildlife and townscapes.
