A church hidden on the mountainside above the village of Fres. Inhabitants of the village fled to a secret cave to escape punishment and this church not noticeable until you reach the cave fulfilled the religious needs. Fres is a small village in the region of Apokoronas in North west Crete.
About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio.
