The beach at Georgioupoli, Crete in November. Instead of sunbathers a ringed plover searches for food at the water's edge. A gentle northerly wind produces a few small waves as the sea laps against the sandy shore. In the distance the famous church in the sea shines against a shadow cast by a cloud darkening the hills behind. Peace and quiet

About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio.
