A buzzard flies over the snow towards the mountain plateau of Omalos on the island of Crete. The plateau is well known as the last area passed before starting the descent of the Samaria Gorge. Visitors will never see the plateau like this or from this height. Many would also find it strange for so much snow in this southerly Mediterranean island.
About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio.
