Late summer in Apokoronas, Crete and the grasses have died off from the sun, The highest part of the old village of Ramni appears on the hilltop opposite. The colours of the olive trees contrast with the colours of the citrus trees and dead grass.
About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio. I work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and pen and ink and include topics such as seascapes, landscapes, portraits, surrealism, pets, wildlife and townscapes.
