About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife and culture that I get much inspiration.
I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide two workshops at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio.
I work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and pen and ink and include topics such as seascapes, landscapes, portraits, surrealism, pets, wildlife and townscapes.
In the small village where I live I have a large studio where I carry out all my internal painting and some tuition. This operates as an Open Studio although it is necessary to book an appointment to ensure I am available and also because of limited parking. Unsold paintings can be viewed in the studio.
Commissions are welcomed and accepted and can be as simple as a re-sizing of an existing painting to provide the exact size for its eventual location.
Please contact David for any further information, details or possibilities for you walls. If you cannot find a print for a painting on this site please contact David so that he can add it to the existing catalogue.
