Watercolour painting of part of the Gramvousa peninsula and also the Venetian fort aloft one of the islands. A very wild and beautiful area of north west Crete with rugged mountains and many sea and land caves.
About David Capon
I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio. I work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and pen and ink and include topics such as seascapes, landscapes, portraits, surrealism, pets, wildlife and townscapes.
