Stormy weather at Rethymno, Crete. Mountains can be seen appearing through the rain and sun may be on the way. The little bay is known as Octopus Bay and is to the west of Georgioupoli. Rethymno is in the far distance, obscured by clouds and rain. The sun does not always shine on Crete but rays can be seen through the storm clouds lightening an area near the Petres Gorge..

I live on the beautiful island of Crete in the Mediterranean. It is from the island's scenery, people, wildlife, history and culture that I get much inspiration. I am not only a professional artist but also an art tutor and demonstrator.I provide a workshop at Plaka (Apokorono) on most Sundays and visitors are welcome. The workshops are suitable for advanced painters or beginners and are carried out in an informal and friendly basis. Tuition in oils or for larger paintings or on a one-to-one basis is carried out in the studio.
